Cutting, Serving & Charcuterie Boards
Thank you and congratulations on your purchase of a one of a kind cutting, serving or charcuterie board hand made with love and care!

- Wash by hand, for any bread a wipe with a damp cloth may only be needed. For any moist or sticky foods (this tends to be most charcuterie) please wash and rinse.
- DO NOT soak, if the board needs to be dunked please only a quick dunk and be sure to spend extra time drying. use liquid dish soap for washing.
Wipe board dry and air-dry on its side.
- DO NOT put any board in the dishwasher. The excessive heat and chemicals from the dish detergent will cause the board to; dry out, warp and/or crack.
- DO NOT use harsh cleaners to clean the board
- If the board gets smelly cut a lemon in half and rub it over the board. Let the juices sit for a few minutes, then rinse and let the board dry. If there are any hard to remove stains on the board you can sprinkle some salt on the lemon or sprinkle some baking soda on the board. Afterwards rub the board worth a warm damp cloth
- When the board gets really dirty, like after prepping raw meat. use either white vinegar, or a solution of 1 1/2 teaspoons bleach in 4 cups of water.

- All of our cutting, serving or charcuterie boards are finished with a food safe oil and wax. Once in a while the board may need a small facelift, to do this you can either use the board wax that came with or bathe the board in mineral oil. We recommend this treatment ever one or so months.

- If you end up running out of wax we do have refill tins for sale like the one provided to you at original purchase $3/each or 250ml jars for $15.
Products Finished With Urethane/Polyurethane
Products finished with urethane and polyurethane do not require heavy care. Urethane and polyurethane finishes buildup and create a protective layer on top of the wood and do not soak in compared to most oil finishes.

This makes urethane and polyurethane a perfect outdoor furniture finish.

To care for a product finished with urethane or polyurethane dust it regularly to reduce the chances of scratches appearing in the finish. If the product has been scratched heavily it will require either the use of a polishing compound or give the surface a light even sanding using 220 grit before reapplying the same finish.

Products Finished w/ Rubio Monocoat Oil Plus 2C
Lots of our furniture is finished using Rubio® Monocoat. Rubio® Monocoat is a hard-wax oil finish, unlike standard polyurethane finish, Rubio® Monocoat actually permeates the wood itself rather than simply creating a protective barrier on top of it.

Rubio® Monocoat is very simple and easy to restore. When colour restoration is necessary, Rubio® Monocoat Oil Plus 2C can be used to renovate a Rubio® Monocoat finished surface.

1. ABRADE the surface with a maroon pad.
2. REMOVE all dust from the surface.
3. APPLY Rubio® Monocoat Oil Plus 2C in the original color the same way you would an initial coat.
4. REMOVE ALL EXCESS OIL WITHIN 10-15 MINUTES.

Products Finished With Odie's Oil
Products finished with Odie's Oil are very easy to clean and refresh.

For a simple cleaning there are three different ways you can clean your product.

1. You can mix 1 part vinegar with 10 parts water and clean with a terry cotton cloth.
2. You can use soapy water (like dish soap), but remember to rinse all the suds off, and then wipe it dry.
3. Or, you can make your own cleaner using Odie’s Cleaning Concentrate. To do this, you can make a mixture - mix 2% of Odie's Cleaner Concentrate with 98% water in a spray bottle. Just spray, wipe clean, and dry.
How can you refresh a product finished with Odie's Oil? In most situations, you will not have to refresh for many years. But when needed, just clean the surface and a simple light reapplication with the same finish is all that is needed.
