Adam is the face behind Woodworking by Adam. He started his woodworking journey back in 2020, intending to build himself a custom computer desk out of pallet wood to save money. Saving money on that project didn't go as planned, but he found a love for woodworking within the making of this project.

 

Adam started exploring woodworking more in 2021 while in grade 10 woodshop class. With the help of his instructor, he gained more woodworking knowledge and began to grow his interest in woodworking even more. He started to increase his collection of tools in the summer of 2022, funded by his part-time job. Throughout the next year, he began to build a portfolio on Instagram. Once he noticed how large the community of woodworkers on Instagram was he chose to take woodworking more seriously. Designing a website to display a portfolio and later adding a shop to sell many of his various creations.

Woodworking by Adam has expanded to not just furniture, but also retail displays. In 2024 Woodworking by Adam worked with Shop Makers to build retail displays for all of their Ontario store locations including, Mapleview Mall, Vaughan Mills, The Beaches in Toronto and the Oshawa Centre.

When he is not in the garage or woodshop you can find him snowboarding during the winter, playing paintball at his local fields or enjoying some video games with his friends.

Adam is continuing his dream by furthering his woodworking knowledge at Sheridan where he is attending for Honours Bachelor of Craft and Design (Furniture). His dream is to be self employed working on high end one of a kind pieces made with love and care just like Blacktail Studio and Del Turco Woodworks.
